The building is for a Co-operative housing society. The design was guided by the requirement of flats of equal sizes and functional layout, irrespective of their location on the floor plate. Maximum functionality and optimum use of natural light have been achieved while complying with the client’s Vastu requirements. The character of the building is defined by the placement of the fenestrations and double wall massing which sets it apart from the buildings around it. These emphasize its verticality achieved while complying with height restrictions due to its proximity to the airport. The scope of the project involves coordinating structural design, fire protection, waste management, security management, landscaping and other allied services complying with green building norms.
